Robin began his career at Goldman Sachs and went on to lead the sales and trading divisions at several investment banks in both London and New York. He later transitioned into private equity and venture capital, including serving as CEO of a multinational investment holding company and is current role as Chairman of the London Technology Club, a venture fund and exclusive membership community focused on technology.

Robin Bagchi serves as Chair of the Advisory Board for the Centre for Responsible Leadership at Imperial Business School. He is an Honorary Practice Fellow at Imperial College and an Honorary Visiting Professor at Bayes Business School, City St George's, University of London. Robin teaches an MBA elective at Imperial Business School, "Sales: Mastering the Mindset to Drive Results", which will run in the 2025–26 academic year, and also brings expertise at Imperial in "Reimagining Leadership in the Age of AI: Developing the Psychological Tools and Organisational Conditions for Effective Adoption." At Bayes, Robin has delivered lectures on "Tolerating Uncertainty in Leadership" and "The Key to Successfully Managing Up", and leads executive education programmes on "Effective Board Leadership and Culture", "The Psychological Underpinnings of Venture Success", and "Managing Leadership Partnerships". Robin also supervises students at both Imperial and Bayes in the MBA, Masters and PhD programmes

Robin has a multidisciplinary academic background includes the CFA designation and law degrees from the London School of Economics (LLB) and Harvard Law School (LLM), where he was a Fulbright Scholar. He also holds a PhD in Leadership Psychology from City St George’s, University of London.

 

Specialising in leadership and sales dynamics, Robin brings together over three decades of executive experience with academic insight. Having worked in both entrepreneurial ventures and large institutional environments, he draws on the strengths and lessons of both to enhance executive and organisational performance and board-level impact.
